A great natural "hurricane hole", Mamaroneck Harbor has long been known as a safe, deepwater haven for yachts and one of the most active pleasure boat harbors in New England.
Several America's Cup contenders as well as many prestigious motor yachts and racing sailboats have made Mamaroneck homeport. Nichols has long been a part of this proud heritage. Founded in the early 1900's, the marina has built, berthed, sold and serviced everything from Rhodes 19 sailboats to the Virgin Atlantic Challenger. As marine technology has advanced and modern boats have improved, our focus has shifted to providing services and storage to the recreational boater.
Whether showing guests the sights of Manhattan or just looking for a quick weekend getaway, we also operate Nichols Great Kills Marina on Staten Island.
Only a short stroll from the Atlantic shore and its rolling seaside dunes, our Staten Island facility is located in Gateway National Park. The 350 slip marina makes an excellent jumping off spot for some of the best fishing and cruising on the east coast. Just minutes from Manhattan or New Jersey, you can ride the gentle waves of the Atlantic and battle bluefish, tuna and the occasional marlin! Courtesy dockage is usually available with a simple phone call to our main office. At the end of the day tie up and walk the sandy dunes or enjoy a concert in the park.
